Article: Don't neglect your neck and chest

Don't neglect your neck and chest

Maybe you're mother taught you that your face stops at your breasts, but for those whose didn't, I'm stepping in to tell you that when in comes to skincare, DON'T NEGLECT YOUR NECK AND CHEST!

I'm quite sure that you spend time lovingly caring for the skin on our face, gently cleansing, religiously applying SPF (I hope), keeping it nice and moisturised. So why not show the same amount of love to your neck and décolletage (chest)? After all, they are prone to the same skin concerns as your face.

Your neck and décolletage actually have LESS sebaceous glands (the glands responsible for the production of oil) than your face, meaning they are MORE likely to become dry and dehydrated.

Showing some love to your neck and décolletage is easy and consists of only three simple steps:

1. Next time you cleanse your face in the shower, go a little lower and be sure to include your neck and décolletage to remove the build up of dirt and grime. Our Tui Facial Cleanser is perfect for this, as it's suitable for all skin types!

2. Once cleansed, apply a skincare oil to ensure your neck and décolletage stay soft and plump. You can use your facial oil for this step, or swap it for our Mahana Body Oil, for an indulgently hydrating experience.

3. Finally don't forget your SPF. Ever! Rain, hail or shine, you'll find me in My Sunshine Natural Sunscreen. A fellow New Zealand brand that I swear by.
