LOVESKIN’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19-LOVESKINNZ

LOVESKIN’S RESPONSE TO COVID-19

UPDATE: 27 APRIL 2020

At Level 3 we, will continue to provide you with the same personal and responsive service as always.

Please be aware that courier companies are expecting a huge influx of orders next week, so your delivery may take longer than we would normally expect.

Be mindful too, that the courier drivers’ main focus is still on essential business collections and deliveries.

UPDATE: 17 APRIL 2020

LOVESKIN will continue to trade whilst the Level 4 lockdown is in place.

Please understand couriers may be experiencing some fluctuations at this time so your orders may take longer than usual. We have been advised by Post Haste that they have moved to skeleton staff over the lockdown period. (See Poste Haste service delivery update below).

As such your orders may be collected less frequently than they would normally. We greatly appreciate your patience, as we try to keep service as normal as possible, at this very unusual time.

POST HASTE SERVICE DELIVERY UPDATEOur delivery priority in order of importance through the lockdown has been, and will continue to be, medical, pharmaceutical and educational. All other freight will be delivered as and when resource and time allows. Staffing and courier levels across the country are not at full strength, as a significant number of our people have elected to take self-isolation through the lockdown. As such we will take additional time to deliver the volume of freight that we are receiving that is not considered top priority and as a consequence response to queries will also be delayed. With this in mind please allow up to 4-5 days delivery time for goods being delivered to residential addresses. We will do all we can to minimise any delays from the date of despatch. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we are doing all we can to manage what are challenging times,

UPDATE: 4 APRIL 2020

LOVESKIN will continue to trade whilst the Level 4 lockdown is in place.

As of this week I have been in touch with MBIE (30 March 2020) to ensure this is still allowed and they have confirmed we can continue to trade.

MBIE'S priority is ensure we observe the bubble principle, as well as adhering to the cleanliness guidelines, which we obviously have done to this point and will continue to do. As a home base based business we adhere to the contact free guidelines.

Please understand couriers may be experiencing some fluctuations at this time so your orders may take longer than usual. We greatly appreciate your patience.

UPDATE: 26 MARCH 2020

LOVESKIN will continue to trade whilst the Level 4 lockdown is in place.

I have been in touch with our freight provider and MBIE this morning (26 March 2020) to ensure this is allowed and they have both confirmed we can continue to trade. Their priority is ensure we observe the bubble principle, which we obviously have done to this point and will continue to do. See more information about our cleanliness practices below.

Please understand couriers will be prioritising essential services at this time, so your orders may take longer than usual.

UPDATE: 25 MARCH 2020

This update is to advise you that couriers will be continuing to provide delivery services throughout New Zealand.

The government have deemed all transport services as essential to keep supplies to the country open, so your orders will be delivered as per normal.

There has been a lot of rhetoric about what is an essential service and a misunderstanding that only essential services can continue to operate at this time. This is true when it comes to operating out of a business premises. As we are operating out of a home office, we can continue to operate at this time as normal. The government's primary concern is to limit person to person contact, not to limit all business to essential services only.

As it pertains to the utilisation of resources otherwise needed for essential services, ie couriers, I have spoken to our freight provider today and they are keen to continue to offer their services for as long as they are able. Once the implementation of the Level 4 lockdown comes into effect, the volume of regular business will fall away sharply as the customers who previously operated out of a commercial premises comply with the lockdown rules. As such we are not drawing on resources that would otherwise be used to transport essential services. In fact by continuing to support the couriers we're ensuring they're able to continue to support the flow of goods and services across the country.

WHAT WE’RE DOING TO KEEP YOU SAFE AT THIS TIME.

Thank you for taking the time to read this.

I wanted to personally update you on our response to the evolving COVID-19 situation and our continued commitment to you during this time. Due to the online nature of our business we’re largely able to maintain normalcy, so your experiences with the LOVESKIN purchasing experience will not be any different than any other day. Rest assured, the health, safety and wellbeing of our people, our customers and our communities remain our top priority

PRODUCT MANUFACTURE & PACKING ORDERS

Like many other businesses right now, we’ve taken precautionary steps to increase our standard practices around cleanliness prior to packing your orders, this includes increasing the frequency of our standard surface cleaning and hand washing, processing all orders whilst wearing gloves, and there is only one person packing orders at this time, which is me.

Our LOVESKIN products have been packaged and produced in a pharmaceutical manufacturing plant. All manufacturing, packing and labelling is carried out in classified cleanrooms and associated controlled production areas.

The stock we are currently holding was made at the end of 2019, before COVID-19 came into being.

DELIVERIES

Currently we freight all national parcels with Post Haste and our International carrier is NZPost. We don’t rely on signature required freight options, so there are no changes necessary in response to how you receive our parcels.

HANDLING PARCELS

With regards to transfer of the virus from parcels themselves, the risk of contracting the virus from a parcel is considered extremely low. The WHO considers it safe to receive parcels, including from somewhere the virus has been reported.

If you require more specific information around the understood half life of the virus on various surfaces you can read this article published by the New England Journal of Medicine on 17 March 2020, which amalgamates findings from 10 contemporaneous experiments into the behaviour of the virus under various conditions.

MOVING FORWARD

While there is a great deal of uncertainly currently, we pledge to continue making our decisions with the health, safety and wellbeing of our customers and communities as our highest priority.
